Industry Development
Overview
 Several unsuccessful attempts have been made by Federal and State government agencies and Industry associations in Australia to foster the development of a body that is broadly representative of the Australian Native Food Industry. A roundtable discussion of Industry representatives in Canberra in March 2001, sponsored by the Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation, identified a lack of information flow and Industry consensus as the major barriers to the development of such a body.
It is hoped that this Web site will assist the Industry development by providing information to industry participants and to those interested in joining the industry.
