NRM Mapping
Project Mapping
The Project Mapping page has been developed to provide interested parties rapid access to a selection of geo-spatial data associated with various native vegetation mapping projects. To view the sample data you will require access to an application program capable of managing the display of KML files. The featured KML files were created with Google Earth in mind; as such we recommend using this application to view our data.
Upon installing Google Earth left click the file of interest in the tables below, this will open the File Download window, either click open to automatically open the file in your Google Earth browser or click save to download the KML file locally, when the download is complete double click the file of interest and it will automatically open in Google Earth.
Take some time to explore the different datasets; most layers have associated ancillary data. Please be patient some of the KML files are quite large and may incur a short download period.
Please contact us if you have any question, suggestions or encounter any problems.
Please Note: Google Earth may load datasets with labelling and information points active; you can toggle labels and information points on or off via feature check boxes under layer objects in the side menu window. Google Earth allows the user to modify the appearance of data (including transparency), to do this right click the desired layer object in the menu window and select properties.
A variety of ancillary geographic information is available under the layers tab in the side menu window. Selecting the Roads layer and Populated Places layer is a good place to start if you need to provide the data below with a frame of reference.
